2018 Scholarship Program

Gurmilan Foundation, announces the 2018 Gurmilan Foundation Scholarship Program. Under the Program, $500 scholarships will be awarded to current college students or seniors attending a high school in San Diego County.

Available Scholarships:

San Diego County, CA:
$500 scholarships are available in San Diego County for current college students attending any college in San Diego County or Seniors who are graduating and planning to attend a two or four-year college or technical school.

Program Guidelines & Priorities:

* Seeking students with that have a physical disability, sight, and/or hearing impairment.
* Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0, including weighted classes AP and IB), and currently, attend or plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college or technical school.
* Scholarship funds will be disbursed in October 2018 for the second semester of the student’s first-year directly to the college and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to submit to the Foundation at that time an invoice for second-semester tuition and fees, student ID number and college information.

* Applicants must have the endorsement of their Guidance Counselor on their application attesting they are a qualified fit for this scholarship program. Gurmilan Foundation strongly suggests that each institution presents this opportunity to the strongest applicants that match this program’s guidelines. Application deadline is  August 30, 2018, to be received by the Foundation. Late applications are not accepted.
