14.6667px;\"><strong>Scholarship Overview:<\/strong><br \/>Through the Gurmilan Foundation, two (2) scholarships of $500 each will be awarded to young individuals with physical disabilities in San Diego County. These scholarships are intended to support the educational goals of current college students or high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree or technical certification.<\/p><p style=\"color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px;\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 1em; padding-bottom: 1em; list-style-position: initial; list-style-image: initial; color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px; background-color: #ffffff;\"><li>Open to students with\u00a0<strong>physical disabilities<\/strong>, including\u00a0<strong>mobility impairments<\/strong>, and\/or\u00a0<strong>visual or hearing impairments<\/strong>.<em>Please note: While we value all forms of diversity, this particular scholarship is specifically for individuals with physical disabilities and does not include non-physical disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, or psychological conditions.<\/em><\/li><li>Applicants must have a\u00a0<strong>minimum GPA of 2.0<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Applicants must currently attend, or plan to attend, a\u00a0<strong>two- or four-year college<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>accredited technical school<\/strong>.<\/li><li>High School Seniors must be enrolled in a high school located in\u00a0<strong>San Diego County<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px;\"><strong>Available Scholarships:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 1em; padding-bottom: 1em; list-style-position: initial; list-style-image: initial; color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px; background-color: #ffffff;\"><li>(2) $500 scholarships for eligible students currently enrolled in a college or university in San Diego County, or for graduating high school seniors planning to pursue higher education.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px;\"><strong>Application Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 1em; padding-bottom: 1em; list-style-position: initial; list-style-image: initial; color: inherit; font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px; background-color: #ffffff;\"><li>Applications must include a recommendation or endorsement from a\u00a0<strong>mentor, counselor, or tutor<\/strong>, verifying the applicant meets the eligibility criteria. Contact information for the endorser must be included.<\/li><li>Deadline to apply is\u00a0<strong>October 17, 2025<\/strong>. Late submissions will not be accepted.<\/li><li>Scholarships will be announced at\u00a0<strong>Walk and Roll 2025<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>October 25<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>Chula Vista, CA<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Scholarship funds will be awarded directly to the selected students. This initiative helps recipients pursue a&nbsp;<strong>more active, independent, and inclusive life<\/strong>&nbsp;by providing access to adaptive equipment, services, or other essential resources.<\/p><p style=\"color: rgb(32, 33, 36); font-family: Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14.6667px;\"><strong>Grant Overview:<\/strong><br>Grants are awarded based on&nbsp;<strong>individual need and demonstrated potential for increased inclusion or physical activity<\/strong>.
