The 1ST ANNUAL COASTAL ACCESS DAY

 

Coastal Access Day is a an initiative dedicated to promoting the importance of accessible and clean beaches. It’s a day of action, education, and celebration, inviting everyone to partake in making our coastlines welcoming and inclusive spaces. Through events, collaborations, and advocacy, CAD2024 underscores the collective responsibility to ensure the coast is accessible to all.

 

ACCESSIBLE AND CLEAN!

Accessible beaches provide ALL individuals including those with disabilities the opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of the coast, engage in recreational activities, and connect with nature.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

 

The Accessibility Challenge: July 27th – 28th

In honor of Coastal Access Day, we are launching the Accessibility Challenge! From July 27th to July 28th, we challenge you to visit our accessible beaches and participate in a series of fun and engaging activities designed to raise awareness and highlight the importance of barrier-free coastal areas.


Challenge Activities:

Pathway Parade: Walk or roll along our accessible pathways
and enjoy the scenic beauty of the coast.

Beach Cleanup: Join our community effort to keep our beaches clean and safe for everyone.

Inclusive Sports: Participate in accessible beach sports and recreational activities.

Nature Connection:Experience the therapeutic benefits of the coast through guided nature walks and mindfulness sessions. 

How to Participate:Visit one of our designated accessible beaches between July 27th and July 28th. Complete at least three of the challenge activities. Share your experience on social media using the hashtag #CoastalAccessDay2024 and tag us to receive a special gift exclusive to challenge participants!
