Adaptive Grant and Scholarship Program
The Gurmilan Foundation Adaptive Grant and Scholarship Program, grants and scholarships will be awarded to individuals with disabilities currently in college students and/or seniors attending a high school in San Diego County.
**Application deadline is Oct 27th for 2023
AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS:
The grants are available for individuals with disabilities in need of support for adaptive equipment or activities that lead to a more active and empowered life including academic goals.
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES:
* Seeking students with that have a physical disability, sight, and/or hearing impairment.
* Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a scale of 4.0, including weighted classes AP and IB), and currently, attend or plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college or technical school.
* Scholarship funds will be disbursed in November.
* Applicants must have the endorsement of their Guidance Counselor on their application attesting they are a qualified fit for this scholarship program. Students that exceed our requirements are encouraged to apply immediately!
GRANT GUIDELINES:
* Individuals with physical disabilities, sight and/or hearing impairment.
* Applicants must be an organization that empowers people with disabilities or an individual seeking opportunities to be involved in athletics or the community.
* Equipment & grants will be disbursed November 1st.
* Applicants must provide all requested information to be considered.
* Grant funds will be disbursed in November.
